You’re giving your child the best day of her life by inviting her favorite princess character over to celebrate her birthday! There are a few things you can do to make sure it is the most magical party she’s ever had, and we’ve put together some tips to help you through the process.

How to Prepare For Your Princess Party

Complete Your Questionnaire

As soon as you reserve your party date, it’s time to start planning! We will send you a questionnaire via email that you can begin to fill out as soon as you’d like. The questionnaire is meant to have you think about all of the important details we need to know in order to prepare your princess party. You’ll need to fill us in on your party venue address, the time of the event, and any additional details about your child or the event that you think we should know. All of this will help us make your little girl’s birthday perfect, which is always our goal.

Prepare Your Invitations

If you want to make sure that your little girl’s friends are all ready and prepared for your princess party, you will want to send out invitations a few weeks in advance. Your invitations can be simple or fancy, homemade or store bought, or even digital, if you’d prefer. As long as you include the pertinent information like the date, time, address, and RSVP details, you can make your invitations however you’d like. It’s often fun to bring the theme of your party into the invitations by decorating them with all princess everything! Glitter, lace, pearls, ribbons, and your princess guest’s signature colors will make the invitations stand out.

Decide on Your Decorations

A well-decorated party space makes for a magical environment to welcome your princess visitor! You don’t have to do a lot to make your party feel whimsical and wonderful, and luckily, everything you need can be found easily! Roam the aisles at your local party supply store for inspiration and party basics like balloons, streamers, tablecloths, and confetti. You can also take a look at social media, blogs, and magazines for more ideas. Keep your princess guest in mind while you decorate and you’ll end up with a gorgeous room where your little girl and her friends will love to spend the day!

Bake or Buy Your Cake

What better way to end your princess party than with a delicious birthday cake? Everyone loves cake, and they’ll all be enchanted by the beautiful creation you’re giving them! A princess party calls for an extra special treat, so give yourself plenty of time to either bake your cake or get plans to your local bakery. Like with your invitations, you can go simple or elaborate, because you just can’t go wrong with cake. A sheet cake decorated with colorful frosting, princess figurines, and edible decorations like sugar pearls would be perfect, as would a detailed, shaped creation like a castle or a princess gown.

Figure Out Your Favors

Party favors are exciting for kids, and the great thing for you is that kids will be delighted to receive just about anything as they leave your little girl’s party! Your favors don’t need to be expensive, so small trinkets will do the trick. For princess parties, popular favors include crowns or tiaras, wands, or princess-themed items like stickers, activity books, or tattoos. You can also do something more classic like treat bags filled with candy or a take-home craft the kids made together during the party!

Remind Your Guests About the Princess

A princess party is an extremely special occasion, and your young guests are going to want to have all the details they need to be ready to enjoy the celebration. Other parents might need to prepare their children for meeting the princess, so it’s always a great idea to give them a heads up that another person will be at the party for their children to interact with. Once everyone is prepared to have a great time, you’re well on your way to having a magical princess party!
